The National Ion MicroProbe Facility at the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle was established by funds from the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), Institut national des sciences de l'Univers (INSU), Région Île de France, Ministère délégué à l'Enseignement supérieur et à la Recherche and the Museum national d'histoire naturelle (MNHN) itself. The mission of the facility is to provide high spatial resolution chemical and isotopic analyses to a broad spectrum of scientific applications, primarily from French institutions.

This facility offers access to the Cameca, NanoSIMS N50 ion microprobe.

The facility is under the direction of Mathieu Roskosz and François Robert.
